Assessors are Reflective believers

Core Quality

Assessors are constantly evaluating the quality of their own faith against their own set of guidelines, personal experience and common sense.

Purpose and Goal

Assessors are constantly evaluating their own quality of faith. They rate themselves against their own sets of guidelines. Their personally developed belief system helps them discern how to live.

Assessors are at a stage where they are taking greater ownership of their own faith journey. They are gaining more maturity in faith. They are doing this by rejecting some parts of their earlier understanding of faith while also affirming others.

The way Assessors are doing this is by questioning their own assumptions regarding the faith tradition they have been embracing up to now.

Assessors are sometimes in a highly critical stage of their faith journey. They evaluate all faith claims against personal experience, “common sense”, rational and scientific criteria. Assessors draw authority from within. They become more critical in their approach to life and faith and the outlook of others. They proclaim, “I can think for myself.”

Faith Drivers

What are the next steps for Assessors on their journey of faith?

Assessors love courses, material, books and discussions that help them figure out what it means to live authentically. They use these insights to measure their own faith against these newly discovered criteria.
Assessors could thus sign up for a long list of self-development courses. They would want to spend time thinking about all the different aspects of their lives from a faith perspective. This could be a discussion that ranges from health to relationships, from finance to creativity.

The insights they gain would help thicken the principles they use to assess their own progress.
